Cookie Style Charcuterie Board

This is a reclaimed madrone burl that was in the Thomas wildfire. The Thomas Fire was a massive wildfire that affected Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, and one of the multiple wildfires that ignited in southern California in December 2017. Madrone burl is highly prized as a decorative veneer, while Madrone lumber is a very dense and finely-grained hardwood that’s similar in appearance to fruitwoods. The wood burns long and hot, and as a result, it is also used for firewood and charcoal.
This one-of-a-kind charcuterie board is hand-made in Kansas. Each piece is kiln dried 100% hardwood with high-quality epoxy resin. This serving platter is unique and to be passed down for generations. We have applied Odie’s Oil and wax to seal the wood.
Do not let this board sit in water and do not put it in the dishwasher. Re-apply sealer every few months with Odie’s Wax or Howard Butcher Block Conditioner.
